Glazed kitchen cabinets – Add a translucent enamel finish for kitchen cabinets to add depth and dimension to mold and cracks. The architectural features of the cabinets will outline enamel. Dark brown, espresso and chocolate glazes are often added to kitchen cabinets. The finish works well in the Old World and Tuscan-style settings. Once a glaze is applied, the finish is difficult to remove. Always practice on a piece of motherboard before painting the cabinets.

Apply glazed kitchen cabinets; clean the cabinet with a damp sponge. Remove all fat dirt, debris and cooking. Use warm water and a few drops of soap kitchen or purpose cleaner for stubborn stains.  Sand all cracks where the nail will fall in a sandpaper fine grain. Rub in the direction of the wood grain. Wipe off excess dust with a damp sponge.

To glazed kitchen cabinets, Mix dark brown paint with clear nail using a ratio of one to one in a small bucket. Stir the mixture with a paint stick until the two solutions become a solid color. Dip a chip brush into the mixture and brush the glaze on all areas where enamel want appears. These areas are often close molding and architectural features, not the flat surface of the cabinet. Clean the enamel with a towel in a vertical or horizontal direction. Painting the entire surface of the cabinet with a transparent topcoat layer of water-based polyurethane. Brush the top coat in the direction of the chip with a brush finish.
